Jose Mourinho’s men suffered a huge blow in yesterday’s loss to reigning champions Liverpool.

Harry Kane looked to have tweaked his ankle after a challenge with Thiago Alcantara. After receiving treatment, he looked likely to continue but after another awkward landing on the foot of Jordan Henderson, the England striker was substituted at half time.

“He is injured in both ankles and he says that to cope with one pain, he could, probably, but he says with both, it is very painful. He could be out for a few weeks.”

Aurier who was also substituted in the second half, Mourinho confirmed was the result of a tactical change.

Mourinho doesn’t think Dele Alli can recover in time for Sunday:

“He’s not even training with the team, so I don’t believe that in a couple of days he will be ready”.

Reguilon is likely to spend most of February on the sidelines:

“Three weeks/one month. I don’t know”.

After their first win in 2021, Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered another injury blow as out-of-position centre-back Fabinho was ruled out before the Tottenham game following a minor muscle injury.

Klopp confirms there is no chance of Fabinho featuring this weekend.

Fellow centre-back Joel Matip did not return for the second half of his side’s win over Tottenham after damaging his ankle ligaments.

After setbacks for Joel Matip and Fabinho, Klopp said the club is working together to get the right signings.

“You can imagine that we think about everything. Of course, we thought the whole time and we think it’s about doing the right thing. I’m not picky or whatever, but we need to find the right player.”

Eric Bailly received a knock in training and missed the midweek game, but should be available. Martial fell heavily on his shoulder against the Blades but trained as normal.

“They’re okay… they should both be travelling down”, Ole said.

There was no update given on the return of Brandon Williams.

The Saints’ Boss is hopeful that Oriel Romeu and Moussa Djenepo will be involved in some format this weekend. However, Kyle Walker-Peters remains unavailable.

Ori and Moussa are part of the team. If they play from the beginning, I will have a look, but they are available now, so I have a few more options. KWP still needs a little bit of time. I don’t know how long, but he will not be available for this game on the weekend.”

Ryan Bertrand returns after his suspension, and Nathan Redmond is back in the team.

New Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel received an injury boost as centre defensive midfielder, Ngolo Kante is back in training.

The player who was out due to a thigh injury is now fully fit and could return against Burnley.

The boss reports no further injury problem.

Aubameyang could be set to return to Arteta’s squad ahead of their match against Manchester United. He missed the last two games due to personal reasons.

Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are doubts after both players came off with a minor muscle injury against Southampton. They will be assessed ahead of the game against Manchester United.

Left back, Kieran Tierney is also a doubt due to a leg injury, while Arteta says it’s still too early for Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari to return.

Recent addition to the squad Martin Odegaard was brought in on loan from Real Madrid and Arteta was quick to compliment him.

“He’s a specialist in the role of picking pockets. He can play as a number 8 or 10. We are happy to have him” says the Arsenal head coach.

However, it may be too soon for the playmaker to start this weekend. On whether he could start on Saturday:

“It’s a little bit early to decide. Let’s see how he goes in training and we will see, don’t worry.”

Sergio Aguero is still in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

“He is still isolating according to the directives but we hope to have him back soon. When he tests negative, he will come back. I still don’t have that result”.

Kevin De Bruyne remains sidelined for at least the next four weeks.

Right back Kyle Walker has recovered from his hip injury and will provide a potential alternative to Joao Cancelo.

Pep Guardiola also confirmed that Ilkay Gundogan will be playing against Sheffield United.

John Egan was absent in the win against Manchester United due to suspension, but will now return to the side to face Manchester City.

Enda Stevens, Ben Osborn, Jack Robinson and Oli McBurnie are all expected to miss out through injury, although Chris Wilder said that he will not be commenting on injuries in the foreseeable future.

Everton welcome back Abdoulaye Doucoure after missing Wednesday’s draw against Leicester City due to suspension. However, their midfield is still suffering from injuries.

Allan and Delph are not available. Delph has started to train with the team this week and Allan will start next week. Gbamin hopefully next week”, said Ancelotti.

Ancelotti suggested that Pickford may be rotated at the weekend, but did not confirm this.

“I am not in the habit of giving the line-up in a press conference. We will have a lot of games and Jordan will be rotated like a lot of players. I don’t know, I have to think about this.”

Ancelotti also hinted at an attacking line-up moving forward, which may benefit the likes of Calvert-Lewin.

“When we have the defensive line deep, James, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison has difficulty showing their quality, they are not defenders. We have to give them more opportunity to have the ball and use their quality.”

Newcastle continue to struggle with injuries in defence. Steve Bruce on the injuries:

Fede Fernandez won’t make it unfortunately. Ciaran Clark & Paul Dummett trained yesterday for the first time so we’ll see how they are but it might be a bit early for the two of them.”

Yedlin‘s work permit issues have been solved and therefore he is back in contention for their game against Everton.

Bruce continued:

Fabian Schar was very sore after Leeds but we expect him to make it.”

Nuno Espirito’s men are still without Fernando Marcal, Raul Jimenez and Jonny Castro who are out through injury.

A groin injury will keep Ait-Nouri out of Saturday’s game.

Ait-Nouri’s absence could see Ki-Jana Hoever feature as a wing back.

Similarly to Chris Wilder, Nuno has stated that he will not give too much information on injuries in order to keep an element of surprise for the opposition.

Roy Hodgson gives an update on James Tomkins:

Tomkins will see a specialist for a third time today. I’m hoping the news will be good. It was a lot more positive the last time I spoke to him but unfortunately we’re going to have to pass on him for now.”

Palace will also be without Jefferey Schlupp, Sakho, and Wayne Hennessy.

Marcelo Bielsa commended his side after their win against Newcastle labelling it a “much needed win” coming from the back of three defeats in all competitions for his side.

Diego Llorente who came back from a long injury lasted 10 minutes on the field as he was forced back due to injury.

“It’s a muscular injury and he is going to be out of the team for three or four weeks.”

Robin Koch and Gaetano Berardi will also not be playing a part against Leicester due to injury.

Bielsa confirms that the rest of the squad remains fit.

“At the moment there are no [other] players with any important injuries.”

Star striker Jamie Vardy recently underwent surgery on his hip and is a week from recovery says manager Brendan Rodgers.

“He’s 6 days post operation. He was sore but he’s on schedule for when we expect him back. We’re looking at hopefully getting him back in the next 7-10 days.”

Wilfred Ndidi will also be out for the clash against Leeds United.

“He’s got a slight tear in his hamstring. It’s looking like a week to 10 days.”

There are some potential injury boosts for West Brom ahead of the weekend.

“There was a knock to Robert Snodgrass‘ knee but I think that’s now okay. Grady [Diangana] is back in training. He’ll probably be in the squad. [Karlan Grant] came through 60 minutes after his fractured foot. He’s okay.”

There were not many updates from Scott Parker’s press conference.

“There’s no new injury news. There are still two unavailable in TC [Tom Cairney] and Terence Kongolo. Other than that, we’re okay.”

Further, Antonee Robinson is now back from suspension.

Dean Smith on any Villa team news:

“Everybody has come through the Burnley game, no problem.”

New signing Morgan Sanson will be travelling with the squad and could be involved in some format:

“He looks in a good place. He’s available for the squad, so he’ll certainly travel down with us.”

Graham Potter reports no new injuries after their clash from Wednesday night.

Tariq Lamptey remains a few weeks away from a return, and Danny Welbeck should begin training again soon.

There were no fresh injuries reported by David Moyes, but the Jesse Lingard deal appears to be moving closer to completion.

Jesse Lingard is here doing a medical at the moment, but it’s not complete so I can’t say too much more about it.”

Charlie Taylor remains unavailable due to his ongoing hamstring injury, but is back on the grass and making progress.

Sean Dyche said that he would rather be “over-cautious” with Ashley Barnes injury, despite it not being a major injury.

Josh Brownhill is a doubt and a last-minute call will be made
