Crystal Palace:

Connor Wickham has returned to the main squad for the first time since rupturing his cruciate against Swansea in November 2016. He did make his comeback for the Under 23s earlier this season, however he suffered a muscle injury soon after.

Jason Puncheon, Bakary Sako and Scott Dann all have long term injuries and will not start this weekend.

Defender Jeffrey Schlupp is also back in training after injury against Birmingham City in the u23’s.

Glenn Johnson is struggling and may no be able to start against Liverpool;

“We are going to have to take a look at him tomorrow and make a decision from there – but as it stands he is our biggest worry.”

If he isn’t ready, Kurt Zouma will start as his replacement.

Both Maxim Choupo-Moting and Kostas Stafylidis will not start this weekend as they recover from their respective injuries.

Captain, Steven Davis will remain on the sidelines as he remains injury with an achillies injury;

“Steven Davis is unfortunately struggling with his achilles again, which is an irritant to us and him. We’ll have to see where we go with it.”

Sofiane Boufal is also out, and will not play for the main team but instead for the u23’s.

Defender, Jack Stephens returns from a suspension;

“We welcome back Jack Stephens from his suspension, so that gives us more options there,”

Hughes commented on Charlie Austin, giving his owners some hope of a start;

“Charlie is fine, he’s available. We’re pleased with what he’s showing. He’s a guy that will create chances and test goalkeepers, that is what we need. Given a run of games, Charlie will always score goals!”

Kasper Schmeichel and Shinji Okazaki are both unavailable and are out with ankle injuries;

“Kasper [Schmeichel] is still injured, like [Shinji] Okazaki. They are both not available.”

Daniel Amartey remains out and continues his recovery from a hamstring problem. He will hopefully play for the development squad this week.

Teammates, Vicente Iborra and Matty James have both been ruled out for the remainder of the season by Puel.

Both Federico Fernadez and Kyle Bartley will likely not feature against Chelsea;

“Federico got a kick on his knee. He felt some pain. We don’t think anything is damaged but we must see. Kyle is also the knee – I think he has stretched the internal ligaments. Sometimes players have pain but it is nothing mechanical and they can play, so let’s see.”

Luciano Narsingh, is being assessed as he remains injured with an ankle problem.

Leroy Fer and Wilfried Bony remain out with long term injuries and are not training right now.

Midfielder, Renato Sanches lacks fitness and looks as though he may not play again for Swansea.

Gylfi Sigurðsson will not play this weekend, as he continues his progress in rehab;

“Gylfi is only just jogging around the pitch now in his rehab, so he’s still a way off.”

Morgan Schneiderlin will have a fitness test after suffering a dead-leg.

Screen Shot 2018-04-27 at 16.21.22.png

Allardyce will make late calls on Leighton Baines (cut) and Calvert-Lewin (back);

“We’re concerned about Morgan Schneiderlin (dead leg), Leighton Baines has a cut and Calvert-Lewin (back). We’re waiting on tomorrow for those three.”

Ben Mee and Scott Arfield will both miss the weekend game against Brighton becuase of injuries.

The latter of which has been given permission to speak to Glasgow Rangers, as his contract expires this summer;

“We want him to have a bright future and I think there’s a good chance of that (move) happening.”

There are no other injury concerns for Burnley.

Duo, Adam Smith and Harry Arter will miss this weekends game against Southampton;

“Apart from Harry Arter I think we’re OK, he’s got an achilles problem and won’t play. We thought Adam Smith’s injury may have been a season-ending one, but he’s had no operation and is making good progress. I would say next week is more of a possibility for Adam.”

Junior Stanislas remains out and will not play again this season after sustaining a serious knee.

Tyrone Mings is back in training, but won’t be brought back after missing the majority of the season.

Manchester United:

Jose Mourinho has confirmed he has a fully fit squad to choose from for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, with the exception of Sergio Romero.

“Everybody’s fine. I have 22 players and apart from Romero as a goalkeeper, everyone is fit to play.”

Antonio Valencia was forced off in the second half of last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham with a muscle problem and replaced by Matteo Darmian. But the right-back, who has been wearing the captain’s armband in most games, should be available to play this weekend.

West Brom:

Daniel Sturrdige and Nacer Chadli look to be on contention to play this week, after returning from their respective injuries;

“The squad is looking good. We’ve got Daniel Sturridge gaining better fitness and Chadli is getting stronger. I have a lot to choose from this weekend.”

There are no new injury concerns for West Brom ahead of their match against Newcastle.

Manchester City:

Fernandinho returns after serving a two-match ban. Sergio Agüero continues his recovery from knee surgery in Barcelona and won’t play again domestically this season, but should be fine for the World Cup.

John Stones could re-join the main group in training from next week.

Pep states his players had a few days off and that going for records should help to keep the team focused;

“We had some days off and now we train for West Ham. If the records help us to be more focused then that is perfect. Our main target was to win the title and finish the season and then we will talk to the club about the players – who will stay and who will go.”

For those owners of Ederson hoping he’d take a penalty, Guardiola has stated that he will not be taking a penalty out of respect for the opposition.

No injury news from Brighton, as Chris Hughton confirms in his press conference that everyone is fit and ready.

This excludes Davy Propper who serves the final game of his three-match ban and Steve Sidwell, who is sidelined with an ankle injury.

We’re still waiting for updates from the club. We will provide those updates as and when they become available.

In terms of injuries, Rafa reports a fully fit squad aside from Christian Atsu [knee];

“Everyone else is available.”

Rafa also mentions that there could be some change to the starting 11 as he looks to strike balance between giving others opportunities and maintaining a strong 11;

“It’s important to realise we were on a good run and winning games. Maybe we will change (the team), maybe not, you will see tomorrow. I want to give a chance to everybody but also play a strong team on the pitch. I will try to find the balance.”

Jürgen Klopp confirmed Sadio Mané has an injury issue and the Liverpool forward will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Stoke City;

“Of course there is something. We will see. It is not that serious; there is a chance for tomorrow. If we use that chance or not… it is quite early in the day.

In these times, you always have to use each second and minute, speak to the player, speak to the Doc, speak to the physiotherapists and all that stuff. At the end, you have to make a decision and I will make a decision.”

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss the rest of the season and the World Cup after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage in the semi-final clash against Roma with Klopp stating, “It’s not fair”, but Liverpool “hope” to have him fit again for pre-season.

In terms of picking the team line-up for Stoke, Klopp replied with;

“We could play the same team that we played against Roma, if the players are available. There will not be a thousand changes. It’s a Premier League game and it’s very important for both sides.

We respect Stoke and we respect the competition. We have really big targets, goals, ambitions. That is what it is and that is what we will try to do.”

On Danny Rose, Pochettino had the following to say, having implications for Ben Davies owners;

“He is going to join the team tomorrow, starting to train with the group tomorrow if he’s ok today. We’ll see what happens in the next few days.”

West Ham:

In terms of squad fitness, David Moyes had positive news;

“Everybody is back. We’ve got a chance Pedro Obiang may be back in the last week of the season.”

On the keeper situation, Moyes is looking for one or the other to step up, but this week Adrian will get his chance, with Joe Hart ineligible to face Manchester City;

“I am hoping Adrian plays so well that I can’t leave him out the following week. If you’re going to beat Manchester City, you need your goalkeeper to play well, whoever it may be.

There’s certainly no talk about Adrian or Joe Hart or anybody [leaving or staying in the summer] as we’re not in a position of safety.”

The big news to come out of Javi Gracia’s pre-match press conference, is that Gerard Deulofeu could play some part against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night;

“Deulofeu in this week started training with the team. I am an optimist, and I think in the next games, maybe Tottenham, he can play. It is a possibility. He has been a long time out of the team, and now he feels better. He’s training with the team, he’s not in best condition but I think he can help us. We have options, and Gerard for the next game will be available, but I’m not sure how much time he can play yet.”

Contrary to reports, Troy Deeney is fit and available for the game on Monday night;

“Deeney had a problem the last game in his ankle. Today has been the first day he has trained with the team and I think he will be in the best condition for the next game.”

There will also be a late fitness test for Roberto Pereyra;

“Pereyra had a problem in the last game. Today he warmed up with the team, and we will see in the next two sessions if he is available for Monday or the next games.”

One player who will definitely miss out is Stefano Okaka (thigh), who started the last game against Crystal Palace;

“Okaka has a serious problem. He has an injury which I think will mean we miss him for the rest of the season.”

Antonio Conte reports no new injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s game.

On the centre back situation, Conte has stated that Gary Cahill is playing well as the middle defender in the back three. He adds that Andreas Christensen is having an important season, but that it’s right to give Cahill more chance to play.

David Luiz is working hard in training and improving a lot following his knee problem, but looks likely to miss the rest of the season.

Conte says he was happy with both Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata in the FA Cup semi-final, and that it’s good to have two strikers in good physical condition at this stage of the season.

David Wagner, aside from Tom Ince, reports that the team as it was in terms of injuries;

“We’re missing the three long-term injuries [Williams, Kachunga and Hefele] plus Tom Ince, he has some hamstring problems. With him we speak more about days than weeks.”

On the subject of squad focus for the remaining games, Wagner states his team are focused;

“The players look totally focused, we’ve had a good level in training and we’ve got good momentum in terms of results. The players have played in games where they’ve had to collect something and tomorrow they have another opportunity.”
